Van Finance for Businesses

Business van finance can support new or used vans acquired for genuine commercial use, subject to the vehicle, seller and business assessment.

NBS Finance is a broker and introducer, not a lender. An enquiry does not guarantee an offer.

Compare the van, the upfront cash and the end position

Start with a new or used van quotation, seller, exact specification, price and VAT basis. Add business use, annual mileage, payload and any racking, refrigeration, bodywork or conversion. Confirm whether the supplier and conversion costs are acceptable to the actual provider before committing.

Different structures answer different ownership questions
Structure Compare before signing
Hire purchase Contribution, VAT timing, instalments, final/option payment and conditions for eventual ownership. Legal title remains with the provider meanwhile.
Finance lease Initial and ongoing rentals, applicable VAT, primary/secondary period and contractual sale or return arrangements. Do not assume automatic ownership.

Hypothetical purchase components, not an offer: at a £30,000 price excluding applicable VAT, an assumed £6,000 contribution leaves £24,000 of price before finance charges. Upfront cash can also include VAT, fees, insurance and conversion costs. Compare the contribution plus all rentals/instalments, final payment and mandatory charges using the same VAT basis. A low monthly figure alone does not show the full commitment.

For a used van, check title, outstanding finance, condition, mileage and service history. Explain any existing quotation or proposed seller. Vehicle sourcing remains a separate request from finance; neither guarantees the other. See HP versus lease.

Have you found the van yet?

This page is for the commercial funding requirement. If you still need the vehicle itself, tell us your business van-sourcing requirement. National Auto Sales handles vehicle sourcing separately, and funding is optional.

For an identified van, prepare the quotation or vehicle details, price and deposit before using the funding enquiry.

Information that helps produce a useful answer

Providers set their own rates, charges, fees, security and terms. Clear evidence helps distinguish a viable route from an unsuitable application.

  • Registration, mileage and vehicle specification
  • Dealer or private seller details
  • Deposit, intended use and affordability
Important: Vehicle finance does not replace insurance, licensing, roadworthiness or tax obligations.

Van-finance questions

Is no-deposit funding available to every business?

No. Contribution and VAT requirements depend on the provider, asset and business assessment. State the cash available without assuming a zero-deposit route.

Can a new company or used van be considered?

It depends on experience, work, credit, contribution and asset acceptability. Provide the actual vehicle and business evidence; approval is not automatic.

Can I use a quote I already have?

Yes, it can explain the requirement. Confirm seller, specification, VAT and any deposit already paid; the provider must still accept the transaction.

Can conversions be included?

Give separate vehicle and conversion specifications, supplier, cost and completion dates. Valuation, warranty and funding-stage conditions need confirmation.

Can I settle early?

Obtain the contractual settlement calculation and any charges; compare it with the remaining payments and end obligations.
